Carlsbad, CA, May 4, 2021 — This Mother’s Day, author Danielle Kloberdanz, wants to help moms feel more joy and fulfillment, and less ‘Mom Guilt’, with the release of her new book, Inner Compass Mom: Finding Peace and Purpose in the Midst of Motherhood (BBL Publishing, May 2021). The first book from her new business venture, Inner Compass Living, releases May 7, 4:30 p.m. PDT with a virtual book launch and Mother’s Day Happy Hour featuring a live Q&A with Kloberdanz, as well as raffle prizes, including free one-on-one consulting sessions.
The book was a result of Danielle’s own journey as a stay-at-home mother of four who found herself disillusioned and overwhelmed, even though being a mom was all she ever wanted.
“I had everything, a great life: a happy marriage, four beautiful children, a happy home,” says Danielle. “But I found myself wondering, Is this all there is to life? And then dealing with the guilt of those thoughts.”
Parenting was more challenging and less fulfilling than she had imagined. Fueled by disillusionment and the hope that there was something more, she embarked on a series of spiritual practices and mindset tools that ultimately led to a life-changing spiritual awakening, transforming her outlook on life and instilling a new understanding of motherhood.
In her spiritual coming-of-age, she drew wisdom from some of the best self-help and spiritual leaders of our time to find her own inner compass and manifest her deepest desires. She shares this combined wisdom and her own insights in a readable, relatable, and uplifting guide for any mom to find more peace and happiness while raising a family.
“I hope that my book gives moms permission to create space for themselves to pursue their path of inspiration and fulfillment,” said Kloberdanz. “The easy-to-use tools in this book are meant to help moms connect to their own Inner Compass, helping them find their path towards a greater sense of inner peace and inspiration.”
Inner Compass Mom details simple steps to:
● Increase inner peace in the midst of motherhood
● Release the “Mom Guilt” and follow your own Inner Compass
● Uncover your true desires, your life’s purpose
● Create greater fulfillment and purpose in your life while raising a family
“Many moms struggle with mom-guilt and insecurities around parenting, and I share tools to help manage those,” she adds. “The fresh perspectives that I gained during my spiritual awakening made me realize that we're all good-enough and that it is important for moms to pursue what is in our hearts while raising our families.”
The short, easy-to-read book is designed for busy moms, with tips and summaries for each section from following your Inner Compass, to discovering what you want, and simple tools for tapping into guidance.
Three of those simple tips are:
● Try not to compare yourself with other parents. Only you know how to parent your child. Trust in your inner compass, your intuition, to guide you in your parenting journey.
● Make sure you fill your own well with activities that inspire you. As moms we give so much to others that we often put ourselves last. Put some me-time on the calendar to prevent feeling drained!
● If you’re feeling stuck or in a rut, create a “Why Not?” list with activities that inspire you, that you’re curious about, or simply have always wanted to try. Then find a way to start pursuing them. Chances are, you will feel a positive shift in no time!
The book also details some of the false beliefs the author’s awakening uncovered that are so common in motherhood; false beliefs about identity, purpose and perfection.
“It’s so important for mom’s to give themselves permission - permission to feel the disappointment or whatever they are feeling, without the guilt,” said Danielle. She discusses ways to integrate spiritual practices into daily routines, helping moms to find and follow their own inner compass so they have more personal fulfillment and joy to share.
"This book is inspiring and a gift to every woman who is a mother, whether stay-at-home or working outside of the home. With 2020 being a year of introspection, this book is a treasure to be read.“
- Lynnette Martin, Coach/ HR consultant and mother of three.
